Clay Play takes its name from exactly that; play!
The medium of clay is fundamentally alive and it speaks a language of its own. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to spend more time perfecting your craft, expect to leave with a deeper appreciation of the medium, feeling centred in your body and the present moment.
You will have the choice to dream up your own ideas, from abstract mugs to surrealist sculptures. Or the option to follow a set formula that leaves you with a functional item to incorporate into your everyday.
Whichever path you choose, an instructor will be on hand to teach you relevant techniques from the basics to whatever you mini-project calls for.

FAQ
-
Aprons are provided but we still suggest you wear something that can be machine washed. Clay is water-based and so while it does wash out of clothes, we still don’t suggest showing up in your favourite dry-clean only wardrobe items.
-
We suggest you arrive 15 minutes before the class start time so that we can start on time. If you are running more than 10 minutes late we will be forced to start without you and can’t promise we will be able to catch you up, dependant on class size.

The nearest station is Caledonia Road. and there are multiple bus stops nearby. The building can be clearly distinguished by its pink entrance with the name ‘Tradestars’ above in black letters. We are on the 3rd floor, if the front door is not unlocked please ring studio 3.18 on the intercom and we will buzz you in.
